THE KILLERGROOVE FORMULA Territory: World (The Remixes) (LR067)

Tracklisting

Volume

About two years ago, The Killergroove Formula released their debut album „Territory: World“ and the accompanying singles „Out Of Money and "Peter Gunn“. Since then, the three piece producer & DJ collective have kept busy rocking the European party circuit and producing their respective solo efforts. You may especially be familiar with Lars Moston’s innovative output and remix work on a variety of worldwide labels. His activities have established him in a prestigious network of like-minded electro aficionados, whose tracks and remixes he likes to play in his DJ-sets. This led to the idea of having „Territory: World“ being fully remixed by some of these producers, thus turning ten KGF originals into some high-octane club fuel for the dance floors of today... So here it is, kids! „Territory: World (The Remixes)“, available as a full download album. Check out who did the business:

Track: Killergroove Uppercut
Remixer: Ben Mono (Berlin, DE - Compost Rec.)
Ambitious multi-player, producer, remixer and in-demand DJ from Munich, now living in Berlin, Ben Mono has built himself a solid reputation in the world of advanced diskotainment during the past years. His debut album "Dual" was praised by critics for being “complex, deep, tight and authentic at the same time” (De:Bug). His tracks can be found constantly on heavy rotation in the playlists of supporters like Dave Clarke, Jazzanova, Funkstörung or Zombie Nation. His Remix of "Killergroove Uppercut" adds some catchy new female vocals to this KGF classic.

Track: One Step Beyond
Remixer: Saint Pauli (Hamburg, DE - Moonbootique / Audiolith Rec.)
No Shit But Geil! Named after their home turf, Hamburg's main party zone "St. Pauli", these two guys are some of the hottest stuff around when it comes to filter-happy rave madness. When they are not donning their monkey masks for one of their crazy DJ sets, Saint Pauli enjoy putting together blinding peak-time remixes like this one for the KGF cover of the timeless Ska mainstay "One Step Beyond".

Track: Out Of Money
Remixer: Malente (Münster, DE - Southern Fried / Fools Gold)
Malente doesn't really need an introduction. Voted No.1 German Producer of 2007 by the German Club Chart panel. Huge releases on Southern Fried, Fools Gold, Exploited. Countless slamming remixes for Armand Van Helden, Sharam Jay, Bassnectar, Moonbootica, Coburn... to name just a few. And this one. This monster B-more House remix of "Out Of Money" already appeared on the 12" and on Shir Khan's "Maximize" compilation". Here it is again in a special new 2009 edit.

Track: Peter Gunn (Turntable Detective) Remixer: Jaimie Fanatic (Rotterdam, NL - Southern Fried / Mad Decent) Jaimie Fanatic has released on Diplo's label Mad Decent, been named favourite producer of the moment by Armand Van Helden and has headlined parties and festivals all over the world with his energetic shows. His sound is a cross over of house and just anything that bangs with a touch of hip hop, his smile is everlasting and his dedication deadly. Jaimie's "Shake It Like You Break It Remix" of "Peter Gunn (Turntable Detective)" features some ace new b-boy vocals, heavy 808 bass and plenty of sample slaying craziness.

Track: Crazy Steppin'
Remixer: Maxcherry (Dortmund, DE / Loonyland)
We are proud to present the remix debut of Maxcherry, resident DJ at Cologne's no. 1 party, the mad and massive Loonyland, where DJs like Tiga, 2ManyDJs, Digitalism, Moby, Felix da Housecat, Boys Noize, Mr.Oizo, Switch, A-Trak, and Crookers have put their needles on the records. Looks like he has learned a thing or two playing alongside all those giants of the scene as he demonstrates with this big Fidget House re-rub of "Crazy Steppin'". Gotta love those pianos.

Track: Territory: World
Remixer: Hostage (Edinburgh, SCO - Nightshifters / Alphabet City)
The original album's title track gets a reworking by one of Scotland's most successful exports, Alan Hostage. Pounding drums, huge drops, mad build ups and just a hint of a tribal groove turn "Territory: World" into a beast of a big room Electro-House track.

Track: Do Something!
Remixer: The Bulgarian (Sofia, BUL - Potty Mouth / Crux)
A long time studio veteran with many aliases and projects under his belt, The Bulgarian first blasted onto the scene in December of 2006 with his much acclaimed Loop Poop EP as one of the pioneers of the then still emerging Fidget House sound. He since spent most of 2007 blowing up all over the world producing over 20 tracks and remixes in that short space of time, with some big name remixes and releases (such as Larry Tee's next single "I Love U") on the way. His version of "Do Something!" stays true to his inimitable heavy, jackin' style.

Track: Jungle To The Welcome
Remixer: Strike Boys (Nürnberg, DE - Stereo Deluxe Rec.)
Being In A Boygroup! Having just given the world their fourth artist album, Tommy Yamaha and Martin Kaisa are The Strike Boys and as such they have never been friends of one-dimensional grooves. Hell no. And for this, the club-goers love them all around the planet from China to America. This time, they add a new dimension to the original album opener "Jungle To The Welcome" and, taking a straighter approach, deliver a heavy slab of stomping Electro Funk for the dancefloor.
