Bikini Machine Joue Dutronc, the second album by BIKINI MACHINE from Rennes/Britanny, is an hommage to the french 60ies icon Jacques Dutronc.

This CD ist the first regular release for the band in Germany and Austria.
Bikini Machine Joue Dutronc contains 3 Bonus Tracks, which you will not find on the french release. "Strong & Ready" as remix by Mouloud, the secret hit "Monkey Bum Bum Boogie" (also as video-clip!) and the German/Austria exclusive track "Fais Pas Ci Fais Pas Ca".

BIKINI MACHINE engage consequently to the aesthetics of the 60s. Named after the Trash B-Movie „Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine“, the quintet traces a simple principle ever since their debüt „An Introduction To Bikini Machine“ (2003). The band plays the old school with modern instruments, meaning: they dress the 60s style into an electro robe, but without being a simple plagiarism. But why Jacques Dutronc? Well, alone his name stands for the 60s era! Jacques Dutronc was a composer, producer and arranger with ingenious ideas and phantastic releases, the quintessence of french 60s music under english influece. But how is it possible to cover Dutronc songs without destroying them?
BIKINI MACHINE handle this balancing act with bravura. "Le Cactus" comes with the groove of the Farvisa, "Sur Une Nappe De Restaurant" has Soul, and "La Fille Du Perre" brings the rhythm of Iggy Pops Nightclubbing to mind!

BIKINI MACHINE stand by their roots and look forward. The New Album „Daily Music Cooking“, containing their own songs will be released in January 07 on Légère Recordings.
And this also will show their unique style: 60s Electro Super Soul!!!
